Every year it seems like my son has a “Bring Your Parent to Work Day” at school. I don’t mind going to school with him, but it’s never any fun talking about my job, especially because one of the other kid’s dad is a firefighter! The kids always want to hear about his job, not about the Charleston home inspectors job! My wife thinks it’s hilarious that I don’t like to go because of the “cool dad”, which is something I’ve never said! I don’t think he’s cool, I just think the kids like his job because it’s more exciting than mine.
