Wonderwall, the third single from their (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? album, is their signature song. Not only was Wonderwall second on the UK Singles Chart in October 1995, it was eighth on the US Hot 100. Successfully, the song was able to steal the number one spot in Spain, Australia and New Zealand in the same year. The song is written about a girl Gallagher claims to have met at an Oasis concert. The band recorded the song at Rockfield Studios in Wales, in a two-week recording of the Morning Glory album in May 1995. In a survey made by Q Magazine, Wonderwall was honored as the second greatest song of all time in 2006. On December 20, 2007, Wonderwall earned the 35th spot in VH1′s list of the ’90s 100 Greatest Songs.
