I recently accepted the position of Plant Manager at a manufacturing company in Phoenix.  I took the job so I could get out of the cold weather and live in a sunny climate.  I was not prepared for the challenges that this position involved.  The company was in trouble and changes needed to be made to improve the rate of on-time deliveries to customers.  That was one of the main problems.  They were losing customers faster than they could attract new ones.  I found a manufacturing training course that helped me identify problem areas and implement the necessary changes in procedures.  Now things are starting to run as they should.
