Most recorders would only use one type of battery in order to make the system work. However, this is not the same with Olympus DS 5000 as it has lots of options when it comes to power supply. The following are the power supply options available for this type of recorder.
First, it has the Ni-MH batter pack that is rechargeable. Second, the user can use two AAA batteries that are either Alkaline or rechargeable. Finally, there is also an included AC adapter that would serve as the external power supply that will make the recorder work. This means that whatever type of power supply they would use, they will feel very flexible in using this recorder.
